How we compare

Why families choose Sensphere

Two quick comparisons most parents are weighing when they get in touch.

When NHS waiting lists feel too long

NHS paediatric occupational therapy is free, but waiting lists for community OT often run into many months, sometimes longer. Sensphere is private and paid: we typically begin within weeks, work to goals we agree with you, and produce a written report families and schools can use straight away. Reports are typically ready within 10 to 15 working days of the assessment, not months.

Sensphere is independent of NHS pathways and does not replace formal NHS clinical referrals.

What you get from Sensphere

Our practice is HCPC-registered, RCOT-member, and built around children with sensory, motor, and neurodevelopmental differences, including autism. Reports are written in plain English so parents, teachers and SENCOs can put them to work the day they arrive.

How it works

Our straightforward pathway from initial enquiry to ongoing support.

  1. 1

    Initial enquiry & discussion

We'll have a short conversation to understand your needs and answer any questions.

  2. 2

    Assessment sessions and observations

Structured assessment sessions, which may include observations at home or school.

  3. 3

    Feedback, recommendations and report

A clear conversation about findings, followed by a written report with practical recommendations.

  4. 4

    Therapy and ongoing support

If appropriate, we can provide goal-focused therapy sessions and ongoing support.

Who we support

We work with children and young people who may find certain aspects of everyday life more challenging than their peers.

Sensphere supports participation across home, school, and community life with calm, practical recommendations that fit real routines.

Children and young people who find everyday tasks harder than peers, such as dressing, eating, or following routines.

Children and young people who experience sensory differences that affect comfort and participation in daily activities.

Children and young people with coordination, handwriting or fine motor difficulties that impact learning or daily living.

Children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences (including autism) needing functional support to participate fully in home, school and community life.

Why families and schools choose Sensphere
